Hi ,no thermals needed, but a good scarf, hats and gloves are recommended, I'm a Dubliner so I know. A good warm fleece or heavy jacket will be good for winter too. Wind chill makes dublin seem colder than it is. A small umbrella would be an investment but we do have strong winds - not that it rains as much as you would think.
AS for a SIM you can pick a ready to go one up and have it active straight away for as little as 10 euro (if u dont want a bill phone).
Internet will depend on what connection type you will have in your accomodation. but there are some deals for most ervices, most are about same price level , but you can shop around.
As for accomodation , try www.daft.ie or local papers like the herald or independant when you get here.
